I'm a big believer that the universe provides. Whenever I ask, the universe gives me a sign, symbol or event that points me in the right direction. I just had a cosmic nudge this week.
I've been talking about going to Machu Picchu for decades. Yes, it's on my bucket list, my dream board and even tacked on my refrigerator, well, a picture of Machu Picchu anyway. I've talked it up with friends, entered contests to win vacations there and constantly look at websites for good deals.
When one of my friends took the trip and and I got to see his pictures, I was committed to make it happen. But weeks and months went by, and my short attention span was diverted to many other things. This happens more frequently than I care to admit.
Until this week. I was at a luncheon and had the luck (thank you, universe) to sit by a lovely older couple from Tucson. At first, I thought the man might be German based on his accent. When he told me that he was from Peru, I felt the nudge.
"I've always wanted to go to Machu Picchu," I told the couple. "Have you been there?"
The wife spoke up. "It's the most amazing place I've ever been and we've travelled extensively."
Nudge, nudge, nudge.
I'm ready to book this trip. However, I need to get my husband to agree. C'mon, universe, let's get that man on board.
