WHAT'S IN YOUR TRUNK?

I used to say you could learn a lot about someone just by looking at the people they hang out with.  While I still believe that, I have discovered an even better way to figure out who a person is by taking a peek in the trunk of  his or her car.
Try it….you’ll see that I’m right.
Here’s what I found in my trunk this morning and here’s what it says about me.
I’m green.  My trunk is littered with tons of reusable shopping bags. I’ve collected them from everywhere and strive to use them to save the world from plastic bags.  Unfortunately half the time I forget them and end up getting bags anyway.
I’m creative. One of my reusable bags is filled with writing paraphernalia. I’ve got notebooks, a book of writing prompts and pens available so I can jot down an idea whenever and wherever it comes to me. I still love the feel of writing in a journal.
I’m forgetful. Best tip I ever got from a friend: ALWAYS keep a spare pair of underwear, a bra and a pair of socks in your trunk.  I get ready for work at a gym and I can’t tell you how many times I’ve opened my gym bag only to discover I forgot to pack my gear the night before. This means I have to go commando out to my car to get my spares!  It’s a life saver for a forgetful person like me.
I’m outdoorsy. My hiking poles are always at the ready in my car. Have poles, will hike is my mantra. Being in nature makes my heart sing.  I’m very jealous of every forest ranger I meet.  They’ve got the best jobs in the world.
I’m spiritual. My pink yoga mat is rolled up neatly on the right side of the trunk.  Yoga is my religion and has helped me develop and nurture my peaceful side, which still needs a lot more work. Try it, you’ll like it.
The next time you’re with someone you think you really know or you think you’d like to get to know better, ask them to pop the trunk.  What you find may surprise you.
